Location: Downtown Chicago, IL
Schedule: Hybrid | Full-Time
Duration: Temporary to Permanent
Compensation: $37 – $42/hour temporary | $90,000 upon conversion

Our client, a national nonprofit public health association, seeks a Project Manager to join their team! This employee will provide advanced project management for the organization ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and scope. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience collaborating and coordinating with interdepartmental units, and external partners and vendors. Healthcare/Public Health experience is a plus.

Project management (75%)
  • Manage multiple medium complexity projects or programs simultaneously, creating and maintaining project plans, updating status reports, and tracking and resolving issues
  • Ensure requests are managed and projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet quality standards
  • Actively manage and maintain the day-to-day operations of the workflow
  • Define scope of the project in conjunction with stakeholders and company leadership, and obtain approval prior to initiating project plans
  • Identify, prioritize, and refine process gaps as needed; identify project risks and issues, develop appropriate solutions and bring to leadership for their awareness and input
  • Create and properly maintain documentation for project meetings, collaborator deliverables acceptance, and project change orders
  • Consistently utilize and contribute to improvement of processes, templates and tools

Relationship management (25%)
  • Develop and maintain internal and external relationships to advance org initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for strategic collaboration with other key stakeholders
  • Work in collaboration with other departments to ensure content, products and services are integrated and compliant with org standards and policies and ensure the org's reputation and interests are adequately protected
  • Identify intersections across projects and facilitate shared definition and understanding of plan, accountabilities and timelines among stakeholders
  • Evaluate stakeholder satisfaction through proactive communication and formal follow-up
  • May include other responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree required, discipline in business, information technology, computer science or related field preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Healthcare/public health experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of specialized experience in project management, planning and execution of projects or equivalent skills. Experience in both waterfall and agile development environments required and experience with online education a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve project deliverables with a strong track record of high quality and on time completion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to tailor communication style to different audiences (including both technical and non-technical stakeholders) required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook) and experience with Asana required.
  • Highly organized, efficient and detail oriented; strong analytical and critical thinking skills required. Experience with detailed business analysis, design, data gathering and interfacing with users, including impact analysis, documentation and process flow documentation preferred.
