Compensation: $60,000 salary, plus benefits
Our client, a national non-profit public health association, seeks a Data Procurement Coordinator, to oversee data procurement of files obtained through medical boards, state licensing, federal agencies, or other healthcare-related organizations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Procurement & Quality Oversight (30%)
- Manage physician licensure and disciplinary data procurement (98% response rate).
- Identify alternative data sources when targets aren’t met.
- Monitor and resolve data quality and performance issues.
- Ensure projects meet department standards and timelines.
- Serve as primary contact for data sources and reporting issue resolution.
Systems & Process Management (30%)
- Oversee daily procurement processing operations.
- Maintain procurement and contact databases.
- Track and document state licensure requirements.
- Monitor state medical board websites for regulatory changes.
- Maintain up-to-date process documentation and train new users.
External Relationship Management (10%)
- Support partnerships with state boards, specialty societies, and federal agencies.
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies with partners.
- Identify and recommend new data exchange opportunities.
Contract & Compliance Management (10%)
- Maintain and update state contracts.
- Ensure contract documentation is accessible and current.
- Coordinate with Legal and respond to agency inquiries.
Operational & Administrative Support (10%)
- Process invoices and contracts.
- Order supplies and manage shared inbox inquiries.
- Ensure timely response to all inquiries.
Reporting & Cross-Unit Support (10%)
- Assist with the org bulletin.
- Lead procurement-to-processing status meetings.
- Provide updates on expired licenses and reporting metrics.
- Support sanctions processing and related data needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 2+ years of data amangement experience required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required, including ability to communicate effectively and professionally with technical and non-technical staff.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Previous project management experience required, including proven track record with coordinating information from multiple sources.
- Previous experience with contract administration and/or accounts payable preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with PC applications, specifically text processing, spreadsheet and database management. Microsoft Excel, Word, and Business Objects software preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Access required. Database administration skills preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Demonstrated sense of initiative and professional assertiveness.
- Demonstrated ability to work with highly sensitive/confidential information.
- Must be able to prioritize and work on multiple assignments simultaneously with competing deadlines.
